BRC Guidelines About The Maximum Number Of Participants Per Course

With the launch of Food issue 9 many of you are receiving an increased number of training requests from their clients, so this is a good time to remind you about our guidelines when it comes to the maximum number of participants per course. Please see our recommendations below.

  1. VIRTUAL training – 10 delegates (all courses)

We understand that there might be situations where clients are asking for some flexibility, and if you are comfortable with that you might be able to accept few extra delegates, but never exceed the limit of 12 for Auditors training and 15 for Sites.

In these situations, we ask that you:

  1. explain to your clients that this may affect the levels of interaction during the session
  2. take into consideration the potential risks in terms of time management
  3. are supported by a facilitator
  1. FACE-to-FACE training
    1. Auditor Training – 12 delegates
    2. Sites Training – 15 delegates

Here, again, we try to be flexible, and you may accept, if comfortable with that, few more delegates on sites training but never exceed the limit of 20.

As for virtual training, we ask that you consider potential repercussions on engagement levels and time management, and that you inform the clients about those risks. A facilitator would need to support the ATP during the training.

There will be no longer need for you to check with us each time you have a request for extra delegates, as far as the above guidelines are followed.

If you have any questions, please let me know.
